Starting January 29, the museum will feature a series of paintings by artist Iryna Fartukh, dedicated to the castle architecture of Ukraine.

The inspiration to explore the theme of Ukrainian castles first struck the artist in 2007, and it has since become a cornerstone of her creative work. This series aims to acquaint viewers with the history and current state of castles across Western Ukraine—specifically in the Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Khmelnytskyi regions. It also seeks to draw attention to the critical issue of their preservation, as many of these structures are currently neglected or in a state of decay.

The exhibition showcases 28 oil paintings featuring castles in Zolochiv, Halych, Zolotoi Potik, Pidhirtsi, Staryi Zbarazh, Zhovkva, Pomoryany, Sutkivtsi, and other historical and cultural centers. Executed primarily as études, these works document the actual condition of the fortresses while capturing the unique atmosphere, light, and mood of each location.
