We cordially invite you to visit the Potocki Palace in Chervonohrad, a branch of the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion.
The museum began its activity in 1980, and since 1990 it has been located in an outstanding architectural monument from the mid-18th century—the Potocki Palace. Designed by the French architect Pierre Rico de Tirregelli, the palace seamlessly blends two architectural styles: baroque and early classicism. The significant differences between the original project and the palace's current appearance can be attributed to several fires in the 18th and 19th centuries, followed by subsequent reconstructions.
The museum takes great pride in its collection, which includes unique icons dating from the 15th to the 18th centuries, priestly attire from the 17th and 18th centuries, ritual vessels, embroidered banners, tablecloths, and towels from the 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as a remarkable collection of ancient prints from the 17th and 18th centuries. Additionally, the museum houses archival documents spanning the 17th to the 20th centuries. Over the course of its 40-year history, the museum has gathered an impressive total of over 8,500 exhibits.
Currently, the museum features permanent exhibitions that remain open even during times of war.
